What is Salvation, an Introduction, 69 verses

What is Salvation
Many people believe that if they believe in God like they believe in the tooth fairy they will go to heaven. But, God says.

1. Mark 7:7, 7. In vain-fruitlessly and without profit do they worship Me, ordering and teaching to be obeyed as doctrines the commandments and precepts of men.

Man-made doctrine is not what God is looking for. God wants you to follow His doctrine, and His doctrine says, "There is no salvation outside of Christ."

2. John 14:6,(Ampl.), 6. Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Salvation is received through God given Grace because you believe by faith in Jesus Christ.

3. Ephesians: 2:4-9 (Ampl.), 4. But God! So rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,
5. Even when we were dead [slain] by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ. - He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life which He quickened Him. [For] it is by grace - by His favor and mercy which you did not deserve - that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).
6. And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together - giving us joint seating with Him - in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus, the Messiah, the Anointed One.
7. He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.
8. For it is by grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves - of your own doing, it came not through your own striving - but it is the gift of God;
9. Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demand], lest any man should boast. - It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.

God is only interested in what you do and believe out of the fullness of your heart. What you think you believe with your mind is meaningless to God. Heart faith is the only thing that counts.

4. Romans 8:9, 9. But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the (Holy) Spirit of God (really) dwells within you - directs and controls you, but if any one does not possess the (Holy) Spirit of Christ, he is none of His - he does not belong to Christ (is not truly a child of God).

5. Romans 10:8-10, 8. But what does it say? The Word is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word - the message- of faith, which we preach.
9. Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in and rely on the truth) that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses - declares openly and speaks out freely his faith - and confirms (his) salvation

How do you get saved?

What does it mean to be saved? It means that in your heart you know, that you know, that you know, that Christ is alive and living in you. But that all starts with believing and confessing that Christ is real and inviting Him into your life. Please pray with me now. Confessing Christ with your mouth.
Heavenly Father, I pray that you would forgive me of my sins and I forgive all those who have sinned against me. Father I open my heart and invite Jesus into my life, and turn my life over to Him in Love. Fill me with your Spirit, lead and guide me in the path that you would have me to take in Jesus name I pray amen.
For those of you who have really prayed this pray with your heart, Christ says you are a new creature, all of your old sins are wiped away, all things are new in Christ! Congratulations! Now you need to start thanking God for showing you a good church to go to, so be receptive to the leading of your heart, not your mind, and go to church.
And remember, Jesus loves you!
